Reading plays an important role in our life. Books bring us pleasure and delight and appeal to the reader's own interests. Books teach us many things, give us useful and necessary information and help us in studies. The person's preferences in literature depend on his/her education, friends and relatives, traditions and customs and country in which he/she lives. During his/her life every person forms and develops his/her own preferences in literature changing them and adapting new genres.
Every book has supernatural power to create images of distant lands and faraway countries, picturing wonders of the world and filling us with knowledge and useful information. Thanks to books we don't feel lack in information and recommendations. There are no bad and uninteresting books; there are readers who can't choose books according to their tastes. And one of the greatest abilities of book is that it may influence person's opinion, views on the world and relations with people, teaching them to be kind and generous, preventing crime.
We will never miss a book, they are available always. Libraries and book-shops offer a great variety of books among which you may find a book that is going to correspond to any interests. Every library is the world filled with wisdom and ancient powers. When you enter the library, you feel the smell of books and you can't wait until you open the next book to read.
People are enchanted by some books that stay popular for ages. These books are widely-read and discussed. Every person has his/her own understanding of the book and receives individual and personal emotions and impressions from reading a book. Some great books were translated into thousands of languages and published in many countries of the world.
There are a lot of awards that are given for creating a good book. Thanks to books, cinematography develops a lot. A book is the base of many scripts. In such way people have the possibility to see the book and not to read it. But still, movies and films can't be compared with reading a book. As when you read a book you create images and the world using your own imagination, every character corresponds to person's tastes. And when you watch the film-version on base of the book, you see the interpretation of the book made by director, and there is nothing connected with your tastes.
There are a lot of kinds of books. And new genres continue to appear and to develop. Some genres have become less interesting, others have gained extreme popularity, and new genres are only in the process of their development. Writers invent new plots and characters that stay with us forever. And the greatest achievement of the author is when the book he wrote is reread several times.
Unfortunately, literature and book begin to die out. There are not so popular as they were before. People don't want to read modern book and prefer to read press and internet instead of enjoying a book.
